The first T20I between Pakistan and England at Karachi on Monday was a high-scoring affair, with both teams scoring over 200 runs. Pakistan eventually won the match by 10 wickets, with Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam scoring half-centuries.
England won the toss and elected to bat first. They got off to a good start, with openers Jason Roy and Phil Salt putting on a 50-run partnership. However, Pakistan's bowlers fought back, and England were eventually bowled out for 210 in 19.3 overs.
Pakistan's chase was led by Rizwan and Azam, who put on a 152-run partnership for the first wicket. Rizwan was eventually dismissed for 88, but Azam went on to score 91 not out as Pakistan cruised to victory with 10 balls to spare.
The win gives Pakistan a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. The second T20I will be played in Lahore on Wednesday.
