Escaped Kangaroo Returns Home
A Tale of Adventure and Return
An escaped kangaroo that had been on the loose for over a month has finally been found and returned home.
The kangaroo, named Skippy, escaped from his enclosure at the Australian Reptile Park in Somersby, New South Wales, on April 12.
Park staff and volunteers searched for Skippy for weeks, but he was nowhere to be found.
A Lucky Break
On Monday, May 16, a member of the public spotted Skippy in a field near the park.
Park staff were called, and they were able to safely capture Skippy and return him to his enclosure.
A Happy Reunion
Skippy was unharmed and in good health.
He was reunited with his mate, Jill, and their joey, Joey.
