Back Names in a Group PNR
Introduction
When you create a group PNR in Amadeus, you need to use a special name element. You might also need to use back names in a group PNR. Back names are used to identify the individual passengers in a group. They are typically the last name and first initial of the passenger.
Creating a Group Name
To create a group name, you must enter a mandatory group name. The group name can be up to 20 characters long and can include letters, numbers, and spaces. The group name must be unique within the PNR.
Using Back Names
Back names are used to identify the individual passengers in a group. They are typically the last name and first initial of the passenger. Back names are optional, but they can be helpful for identifying passengers, especially if there are multiple passengers with the same last name.
Example
Here is an example of a group PNR with back names:
``` PNR: GRP12345 Group Name: SMITH FAMILY Passenger 1: SMITH/J Passenger 2: SMITH/M Passenger 3: SMITH/K ``` In this example, the group name is "SMITH FAMILY". The back names are "SMITH/J", "SMITH/M", and "SMITH/K". These back names identify the individual passengers in the group.
